Anthracite

Anthracite is a type of coal, when charged after burning it is full of interesting colors and layers. It is the best coal to burn in a fireplace because it doesn’t smoke like other types.  It heats very well and stays hot for a long time. This piece was a special project, to make a really smooth surface brown wrapping paper was glued to the surface of a canvas, then gesso was applied then painted with acrylic.  ID: 25-006
